Affinity Support Groups

An affinity group is a number of credential holders identified and organized into a common group, not according to geographic region, but according to the nature of their specific ministry. The purpose of these groups is fourfold:

1.    For the purpose of common visioning

2.    For further learning

3.    For mutual encouragement

4.    For ongoing relationship

While we are constantly working to find leadership for new groups, these are the ones presently functioning, along with the name of the group leader:

  • District Office and District Executive Personnel - Ken Solbrekken
  • Youth and Young Adult Leaders -  Paul Fraser
  • Children's Leaders - Amy Frey
  • Aboriginal Leaders - Simon Clarence
  • Cultural and Language Group Leaders - Dave Hall
  • Chaplains (North of Red Deer) - Garry Engler
  • Chaplains (Red Deer and South)  - Blaine McDonald
  • Counselors - Al Downey
