District Info
The Alberta & NWT District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada represents over 150 churches and related ministries of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC) in Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
Over 25,000 people call PAOC churches home in our District and over 17,000 people attend Pentecostal Churches each Sunday.
Our churches have significant involvement in the community. From operating food and clothing banks to making their facilities available for community events and emergency shelters.
Through our national body, The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, we are involved in many compassionate ministries overseas, including a child sponsorship program and ERDO, our Emergency Relief and Development department. Further information can be found on the PAOC Website.
The Alberta & NWT District of the PAOC and its affiliated churches and ministries operate two urban Dream Centres, several long-term care facilities, an accredited Bible College in Edmonton, a Leadership Training Center in Ft. Smith and numerous camp meeting facilities throughout the province.
The mandate of the District office is to initiate, facilitate and support the development of healthy leadership, churches and individuals as together we fulfill the great commission. District staff are available to walk churches and pastors through times of need and times of growth, as well as to give input and advice on church programs and events.
In addition to the support of our churches and their pastors, we operate a number of programs and conferences for all denominations including:
- Freshwind, a conference for women
- Upswing, a children's ministry leadership and equipping conference
